RC2 Corp. is giving its Ertl-branded John Deere toys some “tuner” flair with the debut of its John Deere Full Throttle vehicle line.
Tapping into the ´tuner´ car craze in which drivers customize their lowly 4-cylinder import cars into high-powered racing machines, the new John Deere Full Throttle assortment will allow toy tractor and construction vehicle fans to turn their workmanlike toys into hot rods.
The line´s initial release includes die-cast Barn Burners, a highly stylized assortment of farm vehicles; and Earth Shakers, sleek updates of John Deere construction vehicles. All of the line´s die-cast replicas will feature tuner-style accessories such as low profile tires, ground effects, chrome stacks, custom wheels and nitrous oxide tanks.
"This innovative concept successfully fuses the timeless, popular worlds of big machine equipment with the ultra-hip and cool tuner market," said Peter Henseler, RC2 president.
