What is RSS?
RSS, which stands for Rich Site Summary, and later referred to as Really Simple Syndication, is a method of publishing and delivering regularly changing web content such as blogs, news headlines, and other frequently updated publications.
The RSS document, commonly referred to as a feed, reports a summary of content available on the associated website. This automated method allows people to stay updated with new content or changes to their favorite web sites without having to manually check the website.
How do you view RSS feeds?
RSS content can be viewed using an "RSS Reader" or any related derivative programs.
There are many RSS Readers available. Most, if not all, are free. It's simply a matter of preference. Google, for example, offers a free RSS reader called Google Reader.
RSS Readers can be solely online, or can be downloaded as a program that runs on your computer or even on your mobile device. All that is required is an internet connection to the feed source.
How do you Subscribe to the RSS feed?
To subscribe to the RSS feed, your RSS reader will have an option where you enter the location of the feed. Simply copy the URL location of the feed to your reader, and the reader will be able to load the information and display it to you.
Why RSS?
As the information age continues to grow and expand, there is more and more information that is made available online. Sometimes, you may find it difficult to track new content from your most frequented websites. RSS can turn things around by letting you know when new content is added and what exactly is new. Basically, RSS saves you time.
TERMS OF USE
RSS (really simple syndication) service is a means by which TDmonthly.com/ToyDirectory.com offers feeds of story headlines in XML format ("RSS Content") to visitors to TDmonthly.com/ToyDirectory.com (the "TDmonthly Site") who use RSS aggregators. These Terms of Use govern your use of the RSS service. The use of the RSS service also is subject to the terms and conditions of the ToyDirectory terms of use agreement, which governs the use of TDmonthly's websites, information services and content. These Terms of Use and the TDmonthly Agreement may be changed by TDmonthly at any time without notice.
Use of RSS Feeds:
RSS is a free service offered by TDmonthly for non-commercial use. Any other uses, including without limitation the incorporation of advertising into or the placement of advertising associated with or targeted towards the RSS Content, are strictly prohibited. You must use the RSS feeds as provided by TDmonthly, and you may not edit or modify the text, content or links supplied by TDmonthly.

The RSS service may be used only with those platforms from which a functional link is made available that, when accessed, takes the viewer directly to the display of the full article on the TDmonthly Site. You may not display the RSS Content in a manner that does not permit successful linking to, redirection to or delivery of the applicable TDmonthly Site web page. You may not insert any intermediate page, splash page or other content between the RSS link and the applicable TDmonthly Site web page.
Ownership/Attribution:
TDmonthly retains all ownership and other rights in the RSS Content, and any and all TDmonthly logos and trademarks used in connection with the RSS Service. You must provide attribution to the appropriate TDmonthly in connection with your use of the RSS feeds. If you provide this attribution using a graphic, you must use the appropriate TDmonthly website's logo that we have incorporated into the RSS feed.
Right to Discontinue Feeds
TDmonthly reserves the right to discontinue providing any or all of the RSS feeds at any time and to require you to cease displaying, distributing or otherwise using any or all of the RSS feeds for any reason including, without limitation, your violation of any provision of these Terms of Use. TDmonthly assumes no liability for any of your activities in connection with the RSS feeds or for your use of the RSS feeds in connection with your website.
