About BLONGO FAMILY FUN

Mike Long was an early retiree who spent a lot of time fishing, hunting, rafting, boating and RV’ing. When Mike was introduced to the rudimentary concept of BlongoBall he decided that the game merited serious development and investigation. Mike built prototype games and used all of his friends as test subjects to determine the acceptance of the game.

BlongoBall was tested on the beaches of Lake Powell, on raft trips on the Salmon River, on the beaches of San Diego and in parks and in campgrounds from the southwest to the northwest. In every location passers-by would stop and interrupt the games to find out where they could buy BlongoBall. This enthusiastic response encouraged Mike to continue to refine the rules combinations and goal configurations. After months of design, research and testing, Mike applied for and received a patent for BlongoBall. Initial market testing revealed spectacular results. An independent research firm, hired to test consumer reaction to the game reported a level of product acceptance which they had never before experienced. BlongoBall was a hit!

The most significant outcome of the exhaustive development process was the realization that everyone in all age categories loved BlongoBall. Given this enthusiastic reception, Mike put the team together that produces and markets BlongoBall today.
