McDonald’s USA said on September 22, 2026, that MONOPOLY returns starting October 6 for a limited time, with the classic peel and all gameplay in the McDonald’s app. Fans peel a sticker on packaging, then scan. Pieces can turn up instant-win food, MyMcDonald’s Rewards points, collect-to-win properties, or a Chance Card play. The announced prize list includes a $1 million cash prize, a 2027 Jeep Cherokee, and McDonald’s for a year awarded as a $1,040 gift card.

Eligible items run from breakfast through dinner, including the Quarter Pounder with Cheese, the Egg McMuffin, large fries and large hot and cold drinks. Alyssa Buetikofer, senior vice president and chief marketing and customer experience officer, said this year’s version keeps the peel and adds bigger prizes, more rewards and a simpler digital game. Rules and the full prize list are at playatmcd.com. Hasbro is named in the release as the company behind MONOPOLY.

Transformers Day and a $65 Bumblebee

Mattel Creations, the product Hasbro named in its September 17 release.

Hasbro marked the third annual Transformers Day on September 17, 2026, remembering Peter Cullen. The Transformers: The Movie returned to theaters in a restored 4K presentation with Fathom Entertainment. After the credits, “Optimus Prime: Awakening,” a 12-minute short, debuts what Hasbro called Cullen’s final original performance as Optimus Prime, with Frank Welker as Megatron and Soundwave.

The same note revealed Hot Wheels Transformers Bumblebee, called the third 1:64 collaboration between the brands: a weathered 1967 Volkswagen Beetle with Real Riders wheels that converts with 13 points of articulation. Mattel Creations lists that figure, SKU JJY49, at $65, with a matte yellow finish, tinted blue windows and a premium window box. The product page says it launched September 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. PT. Hasbro also pointed to a Transformers capsule at Target and a screening at The Transformers Store in London’s Battersea Power Station.

NFL games hit the aisle as the season starts

Global Toy News wrote on September 4, 2026, that Hasbro’s NFL assortment layers teams and players onto games shoppers already know. The piece names Bop It! NFL Edition, Monopoly Deal NFL Edition and Guess Who? NFL Edition, plus Transformers figures that convert into football helmets. Bop It! NFL Edition is described with six players: Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Justin Jefferson, Saquon Barkley, CeeDee Lamb and Lamar Jackson. Monopoly Deal NFL Edition races players to three sets of NFL teams.

On Amazon, Monopoly Deal NFL Edition is listed at $6.99 for ages 8 and up, two to five players, with about 15 minutes of play. The September 4 story also names Guess Who? NFL Edition as a mystery-player game for younger fans. That write-up is early September, a few days before the late-month cluster, and it treats the line as in-market merchandise for game days rather than a single new launch date.

Vikings Skolgrin converts in 23 steps

The same September 4 NFL roundup names three 5.5-inch Transformers that convert from robot to football helmet: Minnesota Vikings Skolgrin, Buffalo Bills Blizz-Herd and San Francisco 49ers Goldrush. Global Toy News said the figures were available through Hasbro Pulse.

The Pulse page for Skolgrin, SKU G36345L00, lists it at $29.99. The figure is 5.5 inches (14 cm) in robot mode, converts in 23 steps, and includes two accessories. Hasbro describes it as an officially licensed NFL x Transformers bot in Vikings colors. As of this check, that product page shows the figure sold out. The Bills and 49ers names come from the September 4 story; this photo is the Vikings SKU only.
