Are Dolls Enjoying a Resurgence?

Over the last couple of months, several retailers have told TDmonthly that baby dolls are enjoying renewed popularity. Are you making the most of dolls in your store?

Owner Joyce Matthews of Just 4 Funn in St. Simon’s Island, Ga., told TDmonthly she stock[s] a large and interesting inventory of dolls to catch customers by surprise. "People come into the store and say, ‘I’ve never seen that before. Wow, where did you get all this neat stuff?’”

“We specialize in the unusual,” concurred Peter (Mr. Toad) Schwiers, owner of Mr. Toad’s Toy Company in Naples, Fla. “We have nostalgic toys that are reproductions of 1930s and 1940s toys, and even Grandma and Grandpa can have a blast when they come in here.”

Learn more about how to thrive with dolls in the August issue of TDmonthly Magazine.
