Prepare for Combat

What’s better than a remote control tank? How about one tank for you and another for your opponent? Combat Armor ($89.99; ages 8+) by Hobbico allows two players to each control their own tank while engaging in combat against one another.

The 1/35th scale tanks are replicas of the highly feared King Tiger Tanks of World War II. Each tank is designed with an infra-red cannon which is located on the turret next to the tank’s cannon. When the fire button is pressed, the tank shoots an infra-red beam toward the other tank’s “Hit Sensor.” When a tank is damaged, it shakes and becomes temporarily disabled. If such damage occurs to a tank three times, the tank becomes completely disabled and your opponent wins. Look out: This game quickly becomes competitive and addictive.
