Founded in England in 1997 and now headquartered in New York, with international
offices in London and Singapore, Serious produces collections of licensed sports
cardz for retail, as well as creating corporate premium cardz for partners, who
to date have included Warner Brothers (The Matrix – Reloaded), Best Buy-
Disney (Gift card) and NPG Records, (Prince Fan Club card). Serious recently won
the 2004 LACP Spotlight Awards in the CD-ROM, DVD-ROM category, with a card commissioned
by ESPN.
Debuting with a EURO 2000 CD Cardz™ collection, for
the European Soccer Championship of that year, 1 million of these cardz were
sold at retail in the UK within 6 weeks. The US operation was subsequently opened
and success there followed with hit collections, including Buffy The
Vampire Slayer™, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy™
and Spider-man™ to name but a few. Serious’ card
strategy now includes officially licensed collections for the NBA, NFL,
UEFA EURO 2004™ as well as Manchester United and Arsenal FCs.
Further major sports announcements are soon to be made. Indeed as club giants

Cardz are reminiscent in shape to traditional trading cards, but their digital
capacity extends the contemporary fan’s experience into the interactive
gaming world too. CD Cardz are Win/Mac compatible and hold 80MB, DVD Cardz work
in PS2/Xbox and standard DVD players/drives and hold 570 MB. All Cardz are packed
with superb interactive content including cool video, bios and stats, as well
as trivia, games, desktop goodies etc. Current releases include 60 NBA Cardz,
Manchester United and Arsenal DVD Card collections, and in time for the next
American Football season; 60 NFL CD Cardz. Serious also produce their own-label
