This is the high-tech version of an old-fashioned horsey ride. It is a soft, cuddly, plush pony that parents can simply attach on their knees with two Velcro straps. They then set their child on their knee, begin to bounce and the adventure begins. Kids can touch the back of their Knee-Rider's head to hear real pony sounds. At the end of the adventure parents can simply put the playtime custom-fit pillow over the horse for hours of companionship. Children can use the pony as a seat on the floor, as a pillow to watch television or as a bedtime friend. "We'[ve] received calls from folks who were using our toy for physical therapy on toddlers and praising [its] success," Mike Olson of Danoco told
TDmonthly in late 2007.
— "I'm so happy!" exclaimed 2-year-old JoJo del Pozo, a reviewer in
TDmonthly's Toddler Roundtable, after enjoying a gallop on the Knee-Rider. She also uses the pony as a plush friend on her bed, her mom reported.
