Monthly Sales Figures on Specialty's Standards

By Alison Marek
February 2009

TDmonthly Magazine surveys toy-store owners throughout the country to find out which steady sellers are still doing well. All items are graded on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest . Toys are divided into two groups and each group is evaluated bimonthly.

Results Summary: Bananagrams keeps getting stronger. Though Quadrilla still sold fairly well for some, even Christmas didn't totally rev up this former star. Ruckus, a big hit in some stores, isn't impressing other owners. Webkinz strengthened, but it's not what it used to be. PlasmaCar sales were slowed in specialty by the product's debut at Costco.
