TDmonthly Announces 60 Award Recipients for 2007

It's finally time to announce the deserving recipients of TDmonthly Magazine's 2007 toy awards! Over the past month and a half, we've narrowed down the list of nominees from more than 300 great toys and games to an exclusive 60 that have earned one of four major awards: Top Toy, Top Seller, Innovations and Classic.

None of the manufacturers who were nominated or won paid a submission fee to be considered for an award; nominations were based on retailer recommendation, high reviews by TDmonthly roundtable reviewers or experts and/or editorial recommendation.

We strictly limited the number of awards given. High on our list of criteria was retailer satisfaction with a manufacturer's policies (except for Top Seller awards). Also evaluated were price point versus quality, play value, safety, and appeal to both children and parents. Finally, a crucial factor was the success of each toy within the specialty market, or its potential to perform well in specialty stores.
