Retailers told TDmonthly Magazine that most first-time parents are money-conscious. Those that have done their homework prefer long-lasting furniture so they can stretch their dollars as their children grow. That's why they're snatching up the latest innovation: evolving bedroom sets.

These pieces grow as the child grows: Cribs are easily transformed into toddler beds and big kid beds. Look out for lines such as Flexa from Denmark and Million Dollar Baby, retailers told TDmonthly.
