Children’s Video Gets a Boost From DVD

By Aire Norell

The popularity of DVD has made video hotter than ever—the price of a DVD player has dropped enough that a typical family is likely to have one in the living room. The latest computers come with built-in DVD players, and even the family minivan may have one. Children’s video producers are keeping up the pace with programs that are not only fun for kids to watch but support parents’ and teachers’ demand for educational and developmentally-appropriate content.
