Many parents remember creative play using paint-with-water coloring books. These books encourage imaginative play with less mess than standard water color painting; making a good introduction into the “painting” activity for pre-schoolers and early grade school children. Hasbro’s TONKA division, in conjunction with Modern Publishing, has added a different twist to the paint-with-water coloring books. The TONKA paint-with-water series features TONKA-brand trucks functioning in action scenes, encouraging young children to combine imaginative “pretend play” with the paint-with-water coloring activity.
