From A Century of Scholars collection, Finishing Nanette has a 9" wooden body, red mohair, and blue eyes. Nanette attends finishing school where, in addition to her studies, she learns manners, social skills, fine needlework, and watercolors. She's dresses in a silk frock and cerulean blue jack trimmed with gold striped silk organza and piping. There are 100 dolls in this edition, which closes at the end of 2007. Creator Wendy Lawton has issued more than 250 original editions of dolls in the quarter century since the company was started.
— "We probably have a 1,000 different dolls. Our best artist doll is Wendy Lawton. They average about $400-$700," said John Flagh, co-owner of Toy Village in Lansing, MI.
