Marie, pictured with the 16” Sugar Plum Fairy, is part of this collection featuring child and ballerina dolls of articulated movement. Tonner collaborated with the New York City Ballet to create dolls and outfits inspired by the Karinska costume designs for the NYCB’s production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker. The dolls have en-pointe feet and are crafted in high quality vinyl and hard plastic with rooted saran hair and hand-painted face detail. “The level of detail, craftsmanship and the quality of materials are amongst the best in the industry,” Tom Courtney of Tonner, Inc. told TDmonthly.
