FOBIE FRIENDS

The Fobie Friends book series is authored by Scottsdale, Arizona husband and wife team Brian and Leslie Miller. The brand, launched with business partners, Mike Pitstick and Curt Meredith of Chicago, includes a new, small press publishing company. Fobie Friends uses the word "fobie" as a more child-friendly version of "phobia." The slogan on the back of every book is "Finding Fun in facing your fears!"

Fobie Friends is an original idea created to entertain while helping children address common fears. The concept was developed into a series of books, each book using a unique colorful, engaging Fobie Friend animal to comfort and guide a child through a fearful situation. The goal of each book is to provide enjoyment while building a child's self-efficacy. Each story presents the opportunity for a reader or listener to assimilate with a frightened young character, acknowledge a fear, and use simple guidance towards becoming less fearful.
