The NSF International Toy Safety Program offers integrated auditing, testing and assessment services designed to assist toy manufacturers in meeting newly mandated requirements for toy safety. By law, all manufacturers who wish to sell toys in the United States must comply with the regulations set by the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA).
The NSF Toy Safety Program will customize a program to meet your needs, including:
- Product Hazard Analysis/Risk Assessment: Including pre-production, production and random sampling
- Product and Materials Testing: Mechanical/physical testing; flammability; toxicology review; electrical, chemical, heavy metal (lead), and phthalate testing
- Supply Chain Auditing: Inspection, Records Verification and Product Sampling
- Factory Process Control Assessment: Process Control Audits as mandated by the Toy Safety Certification Program (TSCP)
- Product Certification: Certification to TSCP requirements
