Each player draws a tile to determine who goes first (highest number). The highest tile is placed in the marked space on the game board. That player rolls the die. The color and shape that appear on the die will determine where tiles can be played in order to score points. The player draws 2 tiles and places them adjacent to the first tile. The score for that turn is determined by the combination of the number that was created (keep in mind that there might not be a score). The next player then rolls the die and draws 2 tiles. Again, the color and shape determine how the tiles can be used to score. The player with the highest point total at the end ofthe game wins, but everyone reinforces their strategy, addition and multiplication skills. For two to four players.

TDmonthly Review:

What is It?
Polygon by Jax Ltd., Inc (ToyDirectory) is a strategy board game that requires players to create scoring number combinations through laying down numbered tiles. The game comes with a play board, 49 polygon tiles, die, game instructions and score sheets.

What We Thought
This is a complicated game that expands players’ ability to think ahead and critically look at the board for optimal moves. It is also a fun activity for families to play together.

Why They’ll Want It
Polygon offers mathematically inclined players a chance to outwit their opponents.
