Ticket to Ride ($39.95), a new railroad adventure boardgame from noted game designer, Alan R. Moon and produced by Days of Wonder (ToyDirectory), takes players on a rail adventure across North America. Ticket to Ride is simple to learn and play, yet players face strategic and tactical decisions that vary with every turn. To play, players collect train cards that enable them to clain railway routes between different cities. The longer the routes are, the more points players can earn. Additional points can be earned by players who can fufill their Destination Tickets by connection two distant cities, and to the player who can successfully build the longest continuous railway.
Ticket to Ride continues in the tradition of Days of Wonder´s big format board games featuring high-quality illustrations and components including: an oversize board map of North America, 225 plastic train cars, 144 illustrated cards, and wooden scoring markers.
