KÖSEN USA, Inc. is the American subsidiary of Kösener Spielzeug Manufaktur,GmbH,
a traditional European toy manufacturer located in Bad Kösen, Germany. The
company offers two brands: KÖSEN - The Plush Animal World
and its SILKE line of dolls and baby toys.
In continuation of a 90 year toy making tradition in Bad Kösen, our products
are still handcrafted in our facility today. We have always been very concerned
about the quality and safety of our products. Not only do we obtain our materials
from sources in Europe, but for many years we have been voluntarily submitting
our toys for third-party safety certification by TÜV. In 2007 we decided
to expand our safety inspection even further, so we asked TÜV to also include
our manufacturing processes in their certification. All of our products will
now carry the TÜV certification seal.
KÖSEN - The Plush Animal World – is our line of
over 250 plush animals, and includes both our limited editions and
a special collection called World of Fairy Tales, which are dressed
animals depicting fairy tale characters. We take special care to make our high
quality toys look and feel natural and lifelike so that children can enjoy them
for many years. Our attention to detail can be seen in the facial expressions
on our animals, the careful selection of materials, and the quality of our handcrafting.
As a result our toys have won many prestigious awards (the Seal of Excellence
Award by Creative Child Magazine, for example) and are sought after by collectors
of all ages.
Our expertise, experience and handcrafting proficiency permit us to offer our
customers a truly UNIQUE CUSTOMIZATION SERVICE: if you supply us with a photo
or video of an animal, we can handcraft a plush replica.
SILKE is a traditional brand that is famous for the high quality
of its dolls and children’s toys. Our designs focus on the needs of young
children, and are influenced by reformed educators, especially those from the
Waldorf School. The simple shapes and clear colors which characterize
these toys will stimulate the imagination of any child lucky enough to play
with one. The textiles used in all SILKE toys are of superior quality and carry
the Oeco-Tex certificate 100 as additional proof of safety for the
consumer. SILKE toys are not only easy to maintain and durable, but also beautiful
and possess a high play-value. Numerous SILKE products have received awards
by independent toy evaluators like Creative Child Magazine.

Germany. To offset the additional cost of oversea shipping we offer
up to 10% discount of the total order amount. (Discount will not
