International Hobby Corporation was established in 1982 by Mr. Bernard Paul
to supply the Hobby Industry and hobby modelers with top quality products at
the lowest possible prices. In 1982, with over 45 years experience in the
manufacturing, importing - exporting and distribution of hobby products, Mr.
Paul launched IHC on a "shoe string" budget. In a relatively short period
of time, Mr. Paul had assembled a core group of "in demand" products, a
capable and qualified staff, an effective outside sales network, and a
steady reliable group of regional and aggressive retailers.
While most of the Hobby industry product categories (military modeling, ship
modeling, die-cast collecting, model railroading, etc.) are represented in
the IHC fine family of hobby products, IHC's major emphasis is on Model
Railroading and it's wide variety of products and price points. Inspiration
for product development is usually consumer driven, however in IHC's
history, it's most successful, dynamic and profitable series have been
entirely conceptualized and brought to market by Mr. Paul and his staff.
The Hobby Industry, of whom IHC is considered a major resource, is estimated
to be a $1.2 billion dollar business. Marketing and sales of hobby products
occur in almost every conceivable fashion, Department Stores, Toy Store
Chains, Discount Houses, multi-store Hobby Chains, Mail Order Houses, local
Hobby Shops, Food Store Chains, and even weekend Flea Market or Swap Meets.
IHC products are represented and featured in all of these retail operations,
and are purchased by consumers who's ages span two generations.
IHC's reach and respect in the market place allows the significant portion
of its product line to be manufactured, imported, distributed and sold
exclusively by IHC. Main Product Line: OUR OWN INTERNATIONAL HOBBY CORPORATION (IHC) BRAND NAME OF MODEL TRAINS
AND RELATED ITEMS.
